VIRGINIA TALENTED TEEN CAPTURES CROWN
Alexandria Hunter, Virginia Talented Teen takes home the national crown. The James Madison University Freshman is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance. Alex performed “L’ho Perduta” from Mozart’s opera Le Nozze di Figaro for the talent portion of the competition.
LOUISIANA TALENTED TEEN PLACES 1st runner up
Diamond Muse, Louisiana Talented Teen performed a dramatic monologue for the talent portion of the competition, portraying Katherine Gobel in the bathroom scene from the movie “Hidden Figures” and brought home 1st Runner Up prize.
GEORGIA TALENTED TEEN PLACES 2nd RUNNER UP
Taylor MacKenzie, Georgia Talented Teen racked up several awards, placing 2nd Runner Up, Winner of the Founder’s Award and taking home “Best Gown”, along with $1750 in scholarships. Taylor recited an original poem she wrote titled “Heavy Is The Head.”, which defines what it truly means to be a queen in modern-day society.
NORTH CAROLINA TALENTED TEEN PLACES 3RD RUNNER UP
Serenity Preston placed 3rd Runner Up. Serenity performed an original poem title ”Dear America”, a poetry piece she wrote that shares the perspective of the young black woman in America. in response to the Black Lives Matter ongoing fight towards equality and justice.
