Activist + Scholar + Model + Apprentice Black Belt
Angela Pierre-Louis, a 17-year-old natural hair beauty was the first Rhode Island Talented Teen and the first to capture the national title of Miss Black USA Talented Teen.
The Haitian-American teen scholar + apprentice black belt with 3 years of martial arts experience wowed the Judges during the popular talent portion of the competition with a soca-infused martial arts/dance routine which consisted of a modern form of Afro-Caribbean music with an up-tempo beat, taekwondo techniques, and Caribbean inspired dance moves.
Angela is a National Honor Society member at St. Mary's Academy Bayview. During her free time, she volunteers at her church New Life Worship Center and participates in school clubs that aim to enhance the lives of others within her community.
Upon graduation in the Spring of 2018, Angela plans to attend Brown University where she will major in pre-med and aspires to become the #1 dermatologist in the world. Her dream is to help others feel beautiful in their own skin.
